Afterschool for All was initiated by the Afterschool Alliance, the Academy for Educational Development, The After-School Corporation, the Center for Educational Renewal, LA's BEST, and the National Center for Community Education. The Afterschool Alliance is coordinating this effort with support from the Open Society Institute.

The After-School Corporation
TASC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making quality after-school programs universally available and publicly funded in New York City, New York State and across the nation. Working in collaboration with the New York City Department of Education and other local school districts, TASC funds programs that are housed in public schools and operated by community-based organizations and other nonprofits. TASC provides professional development opportunities and intensive technical assistance to after-school staff to ensure quality programming. Center for Educational Renewal
The Center for Educational Renewal (CER) was founded in 1985 by John I. Goodlad, Kenneth A. Sirotnik, and Roger Soder to advance the simultaneous renewal of P-12 schools and the education of educators within the larger context of education in a democracy. LA's BEST After School Education, Recreation & Enrichment Program
The mission of LA's BEST is to provide a safe and supervised after school education, enrichment and recreation program for elementary school children ages 5 to 12 in the City of Los Angeles.
